The prowling poultry broke a window on his way in and apparently panicked, flying around the entire library, leaving his calling card -- in the form of splattered droppings -- along the way. Two officers captured the 20-pound bird unharmed by placing a blanket over his head and hauling him outside.

The head librarian noted that one spot in the building remained untouched, saying, "One thing we noticed is that he did not go down the aisle with the cookbooks in it."
