The staff of a New York City high school may need to head back to elementary school after leaving a sign misspelling the world "school" untouched for months.
The sign, which spelled the word S-H-C-O-O-L, was painted on the street outside Marta Valle High after street work was completed over the summer. Neighbors say they've mocked the mistake, and pointed it out to officials, but to no avail.
The PTA head says, "Nothing surprises me anymore at this school. What's ironic is that the principal has probably painted the lunchroom and rooms inside over about five times since 2010."
