Jasmine Carr has become the youngest person in the world to undergo open heart surgery after doctors operated 17 and a half hours after she was born.
The newborn was given just a 15 per cent chance of survival after she was diagnosed with a condition that meant one side of her heart failed to fully develop.
But the baby girl has now left intensive care and could be home with her parents Jo and James Carr by April after the operation to repair her heart was a success.
